Akbar Turkan, at the end of the two-day trip to Aras and the inauguration and overhaul of several projects with 800 billion rials, announced the realization of a growth rate with suitable employment in the Aras Free Zone.

He said that good work has been done to implement high growth rate and good employment in Aras, the realization of 350 jobs in the first quarter of this year based on the forecast of 1900 jobs this year indicates the success of Aras programs.

Turkan announced the realization of a 30% increase in exports of free zones last year and said: “The increase in exports from $ 620 million in 1394 to $ 830 million in 2016 indicates this.” This year, we aim to increase exports of goods produced in the free zones to $ 1 billion.

The secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Zones of Iran said: “Last year, electricity, gas and modern water and sewage systems were built in Aras, and now the main infrastructure of Aras has been built for various investments.”

Aras model of modern greenhouse systems

The Turks described Aras as a model for modern greenhouse systems and said: “Good investments have been made in the field of production, packaging and standardization of greenhouse units in Aras.” Aras is a leader in investing in traditional and modern greenhouses.

“Today, Aras has become a model and training area for greenhouse systems, and based on this, we have invited the Mako Free Zone to model and implement these systems in that area,” Turkan said.

He mentioned the export of Aras greenhouse products to neighboring countries and Russia, as well as the activity of a factory producing greenhouse structures and exporting to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as good activities in this field. He praised the investment in various industries as well as the downstream oil industries in Aras. During Akbar Turkan’s two-day visit to the Aras Free Zone, 13 projects worth 800 billion rials were inaugurated and overhauled in this free zone.
