Solve the problem of high prices by implementing the iPhone mobile registry
Solving the problem of overselling by implementing the mobile registry The head of the Consumers and Producers Protection Organization announced that 22 companies are allowed to register import orders and provide after-sales service for iPhone mobile phones in Iran, which is implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. It can solve the problem of high prices and profitability in the iPhone market while securing the rights of the government and consumers.
In an interview with ISNA, Seyed Mahmoud Nawabi said: “Currently, 22 companies are allowed to register import orders and provide after-sales service for iPhone phones, the names of which are available on the website of the Trade Development Organization and the Consumers and Producers Protection Organization.” But in this context we chose between bad and worse; As the goods were previously imported into the country, but no one was responsible in this regard and Apple (APPLE) did not represent Iran. At that time, we identified some of the companies that provide after-sales service for iPhone phones, so that we can import and supply them if they have the conditions and qualifications to provide appropriate after-sales service.
Regarding the price difference and supply of iPhone mobile phones in the market, he added: “The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology should implement the plan to identify mobile phones or the registry as soon as possible, because according to the Consumers and Producers Protection Organization and the Anti-Consumer Affairs Headquarters.” Smuggling of goods and currency, the implementation of this plan can control the price of mobile phones while minimizing their smuggling.
The head of the Consumers and Producers Protection Organization stated that the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade believes that the implementation of this plan can include the interests and rights of the government while ensuring the interests of consumers, and continued: The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has no duty in this regard. And the technical implementation of this plan is the responsibility of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and it is better to implement it as soon as possible, because it has been implemented in most countries of the world.
Nawabi said that the reason why smuggled mobile phones are less expensive in the market and basically how economical it is to smuggle them is that smuggling any goods such as mobile phones is exempt from taxes, duties and government customs duties and the importer has no obligation. It does not belong to the consumer, so if the mobile registry plan is not implemented, it will not be possible to succeed in other monitoring and regulation plans in the market, because smuggled phones are cheaper than official and legal phones. Mobile phones are both government-owned and consumers can enjoy their rights, and costs and prices can be controlled.
According to the head of the Consumers and Producers Protection Organization, although the price in the mobile phone market is not fixed and is determined competitively, but liberalization in these areas does not mean release, and no one can waste consumer rights in this area, but by implementing The mobile registry plan will have more control over the minimum and maximum reasonable profits in the market, and the problem of irrational prices and high prices in this market will be solved. Nawabi said: To conclude that some of these companies have deviated from the terms of the committed standards, we deprive them of import authority, so the continued import of iPhones for authorized companies depends on their proper and correct performance.
