According to paragraph one of the “Instructions for Managing the Import of Passenger Cars”, the registration of passenger car orders by official agencies will be allowed, up to a maximum of 3,000 units, provided that its value does not exceed the ceiling of $ 100 million.

Paragraph 2 of the draft text states that the import of a complete vehicle (CBU) in excess of the specified amount is subject to the production of vehicles or parts of the same brand, whether direct or joint venture, up to 50% of the annual domestic production value approved by the Ministry of Industry. , Mining and trade will be.

Pursuant to paragraphs 4 and 5 of the said instruction, the registration of the order of previous vehicles has been done before the notification of this instruction, in compliance with the commercial profit specified in this instruction, they will be exempted from the implementation of other paragraphs. On September 10, 1996, with the condition of concluding a contract with official agencies and paying commercial interest, this instruction is unrestricted for a period of one month.
