Passenger cars from 2000 to 2500 cc are also subject to customs duties and taxes, but the import of passenger cars over 2500 cc is prohibited. According to this report, the import of cars is subject to 9% VAT and 4% excise tax. Reportedly, the price of imported feeds is calculated based on the value of the car along with the freight, while the import of all cars is registered in the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade.
