Conditions for importing goods from the official borders of the country: MPs made the conditions for importing goods into the country conditional on the rules that are communicated to the customs by the Ministries of Industry and Agriculture.
Deputies agreed with Article 47 of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in a public session on Sunday, May 4, during the review of the bill regulating some provisions of the country’s development plans.
Article 47 states; Commercial import of any goods into the country is allowed only from the official borders and borders of the country and its performance is subject to compliance with technical criteria (customs and foreign trade), safety, health, standards and quarantine, which after approval by the relevant authority Mining and trade and agricultural jihad (as the case may be) are notified to customs.
Note one says; Observance of these rules, in addition to goods for definitive clearance, is also mandatory for abandoned goods, certified confiscation, ownerless, fugitive owner and smuggling discoveries.
It is also stated in Note 2; Commercial import of goods, outside the legal and official route of import, is subject to the rules of smuggling of goods.
