The bill to amend the law on combating smuggling of goods has reached the parliament: The head of the economic commission of the parliament said: the amendment of the law on combating smuggling of goods and currency has been sent to the parliament by the government.
Mohammad Rezapour Ebrahimi said: the 10th parliament is ready to follow the decisions of the government on the issue of combating smuggling of goods and currency and agreements. He added, “According to this, the government has proposed an amendment to the anti-trafficking law, the first session of which has been held.”
The head of the Economic Commission also stated the role of customs in the fight against smuggling of goods and said: the amendment of the customs law is also on the agenda of the Economic Commission. The amendment to the customs law was approved by the government at the suggestion of the Ministry of Economy, and the bill was submitted to the Economic Commission for approval in the parliament late last year. Poorabrahimi also said that amending the law on combating smuggling of goods and the law on value added tax is one of the priorities of the parliament’s economic commission until the end of the year.
