The domestic representative of the famous brand of home appliances importer was fined 17,000 billion tomans by the Iranian customs due to violations in the import of parts. The title of customs revenue is considered. This income is mainly obtained from the customs duties imposed on imported goods. In the customs, heavy tariffs of more than 50% have been imposed on the import of consumer goods in order to support completed domestic production. However, if a product enters the country in separate parts, “one-several” tariffs will be imposed on them, because by assembling these goods in the country, it is possible to create employment.
This is while the profiteers, in order not to face the customs tariffs, try to import parts of a good from different customs in order to circumvent the heavy tariffs by deceiving the customs. To this end, rule two-a is implemented in the world’s customs to counter this trick. This rule emphasizes that if an importer from different customs imports parts of a good, he must pay the full price of the good for each piece. Consumption is also benefited. In this case, it becomes very difficult to trace the separate goods for which a full tariff must be imposed.
But in the latest example of the discovery of this type of violation, the foot of a famous Korean brand of home appliances has emerged, albeit with an unbelievable fine! According to a letter sent by the Iranian Customs to the internal representative of this company that produces home appliances, it has been determined that this company must pay a fine of about 3000 billion Tomans to the government.
According to the customs letter, the matter is that this famous brand has circumvented rule two-a by importing parts from the customs, and it is determined by the investigations carried out in the Iranian customs and the establishment of an audit working group after clearance. Compensation for violated government salaries should be fined about three thousand billion tomans.
According to Mashreq, according to the new law on customs affairs, after clearing large-volume cases, auditing must be carried out at the Iranian customs. Article 143 is one of the authorized clauses of the Law on Customs Affairs, which deals with the formation of audit committees after clearance and the use of information systems for large cases.
