Eight strategies in developing non-oil exports; Efforts to achieve the 20-year vision goals and create new capacities to develop non-oil exports have always been among the country’s long-term strategies in the field of economy in recent years. Although during the first, second and third economic development plans of the country, the situation of Iran’s non-oil exports was lower than the forecasted figure, but in the fourth plan of economic, social and cultural development of the country, this figure exceeded the forecasted figure. In line with the goals set out in the Fifth Development Plan, efforts should be made to accelerate the country’s economic growth by applying non-oil export development strategies.
The first strategy in achieving this goal is to improve the business environment, competitiveness and facilitate the export environment of goods and services, which include policies related to facilitating the social and cultural environment of exports, technology promotion at the national level, national economic competitiveness, legal and regulatory strategies and policies. In the second strategy. Promoting competitiveness in non-oil exports should be considered, which includes general issues of competitiveness of exports of goods and services, reducing the cost of exports of goods and services, and reviewing the reform and redesign of export incentives to facilitate smoothing and increase the effectiveness of incentives.
The third strategy is to develop and upgrade export support services. This strategy can include strategies for developing and upgrading public infrastructure suitable for exports, as well as creating, developing and equipping specialized infrastructures for exporting goods and services, export financing, developing and equipping specialized infrastructures for exporting goods and services, export financing, developing export insurance and investment. The fifth strategy, which aims at developing new export products and sustainable growth of current exports, can be followed by expanding the export of existing goods, diversifying the country’s export capacities and producing new export goods and services.
Sustainability in markets and diversification of export markets can be considered the sixth non-oil development strategy. In this section, solutions for realizing export markets, marketing and product and market recommendations, diversification to export markets, marketing and trade visas, setting up exhibitions and festivals, and sending trade and marketing delegations can be presented. Also, advertising and using the power of common rooms, organizations of Iranian businessmen living abroad, specialized marketing trainings and specialized export marketing services can be considered.
But the seventh strategy is to develop non-oil exports, bilateral, multilateral economic and trade relations and the development of trade infrastructure of Iran and other countries. This strategy includes public policies, bilateral, regional and blockade agreements, international trade-related organizations and forums, the development of trade between Islamic countries, and the promotion and improvement of cross-border exchanges with neighboring countries.
In the eighth strategy, it is necessary to pay special attention to the export development of the provinces. This section includes policy-making, strategic plans, provincial advantages, and export-oriented plans through the provinces.
