He added: “In order to regulate the market and in order for people to have access to better quality fruit for Eid night, Jahed Livestock Input Company was licensed to import a limited portion of oranges from Egypt and Turkey as the director of the market regulation headquarters.” Of course, it has no benefit other than the right to act.
Mehrfard continued: “The trade balance of the agricultural sector at the beginning of the government was negative $ 8 billion, which reached about $ 3.4 billion at the end of last year, and according to the latest report at the end of January, reached $ 2.3 billion. He said: “This number will be less than three billion dollars by the end of this year.” They were bitter or dehydrated and damaged, meanwhile we bought a part of the damaged oranges that could be consumed by humans as a guarantee and offered them to the concentrate production factories.
Mehrfard, emphasizing that we buy as many healthy oranges as there are in the north of the country, said: about 2.2 million tons to 2.7 million tons of oranges are produced annually depending on the annual growth of orchards, of which about one million tons are due to frost. It was lost or its quality was reduced and now there are about 150,000 tons of stock in the sortings, but because people have the right to have better quality fruit on their Eid and Nowruz tables, we imported some oranges, but we never stopped supporting them. “We do not know the producers,” said the Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
