66 tons of smuggled rice were discovered in Nain
66 tons without customs license were found from three trucks at Nain checkpoint.
Col. Sadegh Kazemzad, Nain police commander, told IRNA on Saturday that the officers of Shahid Sharafat Nain station confiscated three trucks carrying 66 tons of smuggled rice in order to implement the plan to fight against smuggling of goods and currency and control the exit axes of the city. Smuggled rice was discovered from confiscated trucks based on experts’ estimates of 225 million Tomans.
Colonel Kazemzad added: “Goods that do not have a customs clearance license are considered smuggling and smugglers will be dealt with decisively without any waiver.” In this regard, three vehicles were confiscated and three arrested defendants were informed along with the smuggled goods for legal delivery to the police.
